PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

1. Candidates can enroll the first semester at the integrated five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture provided they meet the criteria established in the Public competition for enrollment of students in the first cycle of studies at the Ss. “Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje.

All candidates that have completed four year high school education in high schools verified by act by the Ministry of Education and Science are entitled for enrollment at the five year study of first and second cycle.

For the admission in the first semester at the five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture, all candidates are obliged to pass an entrance exam.

The form and content of the entrance exam as well as the evaluation method is determined by the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty.

The admitted students at the five year study of first and second cycle pay for the scholarship in the state quota or in a co-funding quota for each semester. The scholarship amount, both in the state and co-funding quota, for each academic year, has been predetermined by the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty in accordance with current legislation as well as Decisions by the University and University founder.  

2. Right to compete for enrolment in the VII (seventh semester) at the integrated five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture have the following candidates:

 Candidates that have completed first cycle of studies and meet criteria according to the curriculum at the integrated five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture. These students pay for the scholarship according to conditions determined in the Public competition for enrollment of students in the second cycle of studies at the Ss. “Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje.

Right to compete for enrolment in the X (tenth semester) at the integrated five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture have the following candidates:

 Candidates who have graduated from the Faculty of Architecture according to the curriculum in duration of 10 (9+1) semesters, prior the integrated study of first and second cycle, and have gained the title Graduated Engineer Architect. These students pay for the scholarship according to conditions determined in the Public competition for enrollment of students in the second cycle of studies at the Ss. “Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje.

TRANSFER CRITERIA FROM OTHER HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS:

A student enrolled at the first cycle of studies at another higher education institution, except for another faculty of architecture, can transfer to the Faculty of Architecture within the Ss. “Cyril and Methodius” University only by taking an entrance exam.

Student enrolled at another faculty of architecture can transfer to the integrated five year study of first and second cycle at the Faculty of Architecture provided he/she has obtained at least 40 credits from courses in the first year of studies at the home institution.

Students of paragraph 1 and 2 must submit a written request to the Dean of the faculty.

Alongside the request, the students are also required to submit: Transcript of records with obtained credits/grades issued by the home faculty; Recorded validation of attended courses; Curriculum of first or second cycle of studies from the home faculty; A confirmation that the student status has not been terminated due to a disciplinary measure.

The transfer request should be submitted at least 30 days before the beginning of the new semester. The Dean adopts a Decision for admission, based on the proposal of the Committee formed by the Vice Dean for academic and student issues.

The Decision for admission determines all the courses and credits that have been accepted, as well as the extra obligations that the student is required to fulfill in the enrolled semester according to the curriculum and the faculty Rulebook.

Student admission of paragraphs 1 and 2 is performed before beginning of fall semester, whereas student of paragraph 2 may be admitted before beginning of spring semester as well, under the same conditions and in the same period as for the current students.
